This listing is for a genuine Land Rover side mounted gear carrier box for the Land Rover Defender L663.

This is the 2026 version which comes in Gloss Black with an embossed DEFENDER logo (previous design of the side box had an oval Land Rover badge).

Note: As part of the installation you need to cut 'access holes' in the removable side trim strip - We will include a custom Powerful UK 110 cutting template to make this easier (template not suitable for 90)!

The exterior side-mounted gear carrier provides easy to access storage on the outside the vehicle..... we used ours as a bar when camping! (see photo).

It is also compatible with the radio antenna, however metallic objects inside the gear carrier may affect radio performance.

This exterior carrier is lockable, waterproof and is perfect for carrying walking boots, wetsuits or other items that you may prefer not to carry inside your vehicle.

It has a stay to hold the lid safely open when loading or unloading.

An interior net ensures that contents remain secure when in transit and is contained when opening the lid. It also has a rubber stopper in the base to facilitate cleaning and drainage.

Finished in Gloss Black, it has a capacity of 24 litres with a maximum carrying capacity of 17kg.

This item will fit 90 and 110 models - note that roof rails are required to install this item.

Fits to the right hand side of the vehicle only - this item can also be mounted onto our exterior molle plate system which can be used on the right or left of the vehicle.

Not compatible if the ladder is fitted on the same side of the vehicle.

PLEASE NOTE: Once fitted, the exterior side-mounted gear carrier and bracket are not intended to be removed from the vehicle.

Note that the supplied Powerful UK drilling template is only suitable for the 110 model - for the 90 you'll need to measure as per Land Rovers instructions.
