This is a compact roof rack/cross bar kit for the Land Rover Freelander 2.

This kit includes 2 cross bars that are mounted directly to the pre-installed roof rack mounting points.

These are easy fit as you do not require roof rails fitted to install the cross bars

This will give you a handy compact roof rack for mounting off-roading/camping accessories etc.

We used this configuration to mount 2 spare wheels to the roof on a recent off road adventure !

The mounting blocks also include a slot for an external molle plate which you can choose to fit at a later date if you wish (see our other listing to purchase this).

You cannot fit this kit if you have the factory roof rack fitted as it uses the same mounting holes etc.

The 2 cross bars are quite close together and thus not ideal for long items - it is more for off road equipment / spare wheel / Water Carrier etc

As per the original Land Rover instructions they do not advise carrying loads more than 75Kg on the roof ( roof rack weight + luggage ) - this roof rack is 5Kg so this leaves a maximum of 70Kg load.

Fitting bolts supplied are stainless steel so will not rust.

Each bar is 1300mm total length.

The spacing ( pitch ) of the 2 cross bars is 363 mm ( from the front of the front cross bar to the front of the rear cross bar )

This is not a genuine Land Rover item.

This item WILL fit the Land Rover Freelander 2 WITHOUT roof rails fitted

This item WILL NOT fit if you have roof rails fitted as this mount uses the same fixings points
